The confirmation vote for Candidate for Loretta Lynch, candidate for Attorney General has now been be delayed at least three more weeks  which has rankled Lynch’s allies in law enforcement.

Senate Republican aides said Friday that a confirmation vote for Lynch won’t come until mid-April. The budget is expected to take up all of next week in the Senate, along with a potential vote on a Medicare reimbursement formula for doctors. Then the Senate leaves Washington for a two-week recess.

The additional holdup is sure to irritate Lynch’s backers and could further slow momentum for Lynch, whose nomination to replace Eric Holder as the nation’s chief law enforcement official has essentially been frozen since she was voted out of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Feb. 26.
